Summit Public Schools believes that personalized learning empowers teachers and helps students build the skills they need to succeed in college, career and life.
That’s why Summit is sharing what we’ve learned through our own experience operating ten schools that serve a diverse population of 3000 students in California and Washington. Summit’s schools consistently rank among the best in the nation. 99% of graduating seniors at Summit are accepted into at least one four-year college, and its graduates are completing college at double the national average.
Summit is proud to help teachers and students around the country benefit from personalized learning through the Summit Learning Program. Teachers from Summit are working alongside engineers from Facebook to build the Summit Learning Platform. In 2016-17, more than 100 schools across the country are part of the Summit Learning community, which now includes more than 1,100 teachers and 20,000 students. This community’s growth and dedication to students are remarkable and inspiring.
The Summit – Facebook Partnership
In 2014, Facebook’s engineers started working with Summit’s teachers to improve the Summit Learning Platform, which was created by Summit, so it could be used in more classrooms for free. Facebook is committed to continuing to collaborate with Summit teachers and others around the country to improve the technology that powers personalized learning and offer it for free to any school in the US.
